FOREVER LOVELY SCRAP PAGES

With the festive season sneaking up so quickly (I didn’t even get Christmas cards out this year) I didn’t get time to drop by and post the scrap pages from my presentation in Brisbane.

I know you will all enjoy this delight little girl and the pages I created for her.  Thanks for being my model Abby.

This is a DLO featuring this suite.  What a delight with which to work.  Loved every moment.

Until next time when I’ll post the single LO using this suite, stay happy.

I’m totally in love with ALL the DSP in the new Occasions Catalogue.  DSP has to be my fave product EVER! and the new DSP does not disappoint.  You are going to love it.

This photo, which shows our grand daughter at race day shenanigans having a great time with her friends.  So the occasion called for a bright and fun layout.  Needlepoint Nook DSP provides just that.  Oddly enough the quote comes from a Sympathy stamp set called Lasting Lily, which is a freebie coming in the annual Sale-a-bration starting in January.

Want an Occasions catalogue?  ….and a Sale-a-bration one too?  Free?  contact me now and I’ll post both out to you totally free of charge.

Moving along with my presentation at Stampin’ Up! 30th birthday celebration in Brisbane I wanted today to show you the cards that I made with this fabulous stamp set and Thinlits.  *swoon*  This stamp set is a ‘must have’ for all card makers and scrapbookers.

It’s the type of stamp set that will ‘grow’ with the crafter from ‘beginner to avid’ and beyond,

There is an amazingly beautiful set of DSP that matches this stamp set.  It’s breath taking.

Enjoy!

Until next time, stay happy,

Forever Lovely

I’m so sorry that I’ve been a little quiet here, there has been a reason.  I was asked by Stampin’ Up! to present a brand new suite of product at Onstage Brisbane at the week end.  So for the last few months I’ve been hold up in my studio secretly creating.  I was so pleased with my projects.  I loved showing them to the demonstrators that attended.  Thanks to S.U. for having the confidence in me to make on the task.

The suite I was assigned was called ‘Forever Lovely’.  Primarily it was designed for Valentine’s Day, however it’s actually so much MORE than a Valentine’s Day stamp set.  I used ti for birthday cards, I love you cards, Christmas card, Man’s card.  In the suite a stunning 12 x 12 set of DSP.  One side features designs which are romantic, soft and flowing.  The other side is graphic and bright.  Such a great stamp set that is perfect for a beginner to advanced crafter.

Over the next few weeks I’ll post each project but for now I’ve posted below the uTube of my presentation.  It features the mini album that was my favourite project.  I’ll be back in a day or two with the scrap pages and cards that I completed.

Enjoy!

Until next time, stay happy.

I’m just loving the new Christmas catalogue from Stampin’ Up!  So when I received an order for two small mini albums each celebrating Christmas I knew I had to use this fun paper.   Fabulous to use 50% vanilla based and 50% white based.  The suite has a great stamp set buttons, adorable natural toned ribbon, thick baker’s twine, Embossing Folder, Distresssed card tin (swoon)  and chipboard accent elements.  Phew!!!  that’s quite the haul isn’t it and of course all perfectly matching to make your Christmas crafting super easy and super quick.  Like your free copy of the catalogue?  Contact me now.  Quick!!!

Here’s the first album that I made, be sure to come on back and check out the second.  It’s almost finished.  (apologies for the dodgy video, but it’s a difficult task with one hand on the iPad and one turning pages. lol.  But you’ll get the general idea.

Recipe for success:

Cardstock – Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, Whisper White

DSP  – Festive Farmhouse

Ribbon – Striped burlap trim

Baker’s twine – Festive farmhouse collection

Border Punch

Thanks for coming by, until next time, stay happy.

Welcome to my Blog!!!  So glad you decided to hop along the Global Blog Hop Scrapbooking trail, and land on my site.

The criteria for this blog hop and scrap a page was to use the following sketch.

36546392_10155548853772694_4268044199015743488_n

I don’t normally work from a sketch.  The reason being I don’t particularly enjoy it, but the challenge was there and I took it up so had to go through with it!!!!  In the end I actually enjoyed the process.  Twisting things around a bit to suit me and my pics.  Added an easy waterfall to accommodate some tiny awkward pics.  Took time to journal a block and Voila!  It is done, and I am happy.  I hope you like the result.

Thanks for visiting now hop on over to the very lovely and talented Delys Cram.

And if you’d like, you may click the blue box below for the full list for today’s hop.

I’ve fallen totally in love with the Nature’s Poem DSP from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue.  Such beautiful leaf images and skeleton leaf pages teamed with rich regal classic backing colours.  Very very versatile and useable and delightfully loveable.

Our younger son, Tony, loves to visit the National Parks in our area. Boonoo Boonoo being one of his faves.  His partner snapped this shot on an early visit there.

Recipe for Success:

Cardstock – Basic Black and Whisper White

DSP – Natures Poem

Ink – Cajun Craze and Memento Black

Stamp Set – Rooted in Nature

Fine Specimen Son – Anthony Crouch – Computer Geek (but I love him anyway)

Until next time,

Stay happy,

Jacqui xo

I’ve had these photos of our Grand daughter for almost two years.  Finding the right DSP and the right double layout just wasn’t happening.

Who would guess that S.U.’s True Gentleman’s DSP would be just right for these girlie pics???   The DSP is now retired, but there’s a great new masculine DSP in the new Annual Catalogue.  It just happened to arrive at my house today in time to play over the long week end.  So stay tuned……………..

fullsizeoutput_24eb

I love doing both these layouts and they also team well together (remember how different they look?  Scroll down.  They are the same pages that I completed for our grandson.  You don’t need to reinvent the wheel each/every layout.  Different kids and different DSP equals different looks).

Recipe for success:

Cardstock – Whisper White, Crumb Cake

Inks – Crumb Cake

DSP – True Gentleman

Have an amazing week end everyone, until next time………

stay happy!

Cheers

Happy birthday Kelly Kent!!  I’m so pleased to be able to join your Blog Hop in celebration of a another year around the sun.

To celebrate in style I decided to create this adorable folio.  When I saw this Share What You Love DSP in S.U.’s new catalogue I knew it was perfect for a mini album and/or folio.  It’s just thicker than the normal DSP, so it’s almost card stock weight.  It has delightful floral prints with edgy reverse sides that co ordinate beautifully with the florals.  This beautiful DSP is part of the Share What You Love Suite along with the Love What You Do stamp set, Lovely Floral Textured Impressions Folder and Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon (*swoon*), Artisan Pearls (*breathtaking*), Embellishment Kit and Pearlized Doilies.  It was just such a pleasure to work with these well co ordinated products.  Hurrah!!!  I managed to use them all.  See if you can spot them!!

I hope you love this folio as much as I loved making it.  (tutorial comes from My Sister Scrapper).  I have actually made a video to go with this post but in true style it won’t upload to my blog!!!  So we will just have to be content with stills.  They don’t really let you ‘interact’ with the folio but you will get the idea of what it’s about.  However, no pictures can capture just how lovely this DSP is.

The cover and then the first page opened.  The little folder holds three photos and slides into the open pocket using a magnet to hold into place.

IMG_2127

This pic shows the the next page.  A small folder slides into this horizontal pocket and it could hold 3 photos or journalling notes.

IMG_2128

This photo shows the centre of the folio.  Two ‘piece decorated’ booklets tuck into pockets at the top on either side.  The one on the left is blank inside ready to load with photos.  It would hold approximately 6 photographs.  The one on the right is for journalling (closer photo of that one further down the post)  Below them are two ‘floating’ photo matts.  They stay ‘attached’ to the folio via magnets hidden behind those beautiful pearlized doilies.  In the centre is a waterfall which will hold up to eight photographs.  the cover of the waterfall features the Lovely Floral Textured Impressions embossing folder, just lightly sponged with some Crumb Cake ink.

IMG_2130

This pic shows the photo board aside from it’s magnetic mooring to reveal the pearlized doilies underneath concealing the magnet that holds it in place.

IMG_2129

A closer look at the ‘My Memories’ folder from the right hand side pocket.  I’ve stitched into this 6 pages to record an event or just your thoughts.  Stamped with that gorgeous floral stamp that’s featured throughout the folio.

IMG_2131The last section of the folio on the left hand side, has another folder to house three photos or journalling pages.  It tucks into a ‘tuck spot’ using magnet behind another of those adorable doilies.  Don’t you love that Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon and those wee pearls???

On the right hand side are three pockets with three photo matts.  Enough space here to hold four photos and journalling opportunity on the fronts.  These three matts feature images from the DSP that have been fussy cut.

Thanks for visiting me and sharing in Kelly’s Birthday Bash.

Recipe for Success:

Card stock – Basic Black, Whisper White and Tranquil Tide

DSP and Embellishments – Share What You Love and the Share What You Love bundle

Stamp Sets – Make a Difference and Love What You Do

Inks – Memento black, Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry

Punches – Decorative ribbon border and Detailed Trio

Stamped images have been coloured with S.U. Blends

Until next time, stay happy………..

Jacqui xo

It’s so exciting when you fall in love with a range of DSP and then it’s continued into the next year’s catalogue.  I don’t think I’ve every heard of it before.  But S.U. has seen fit to carry forward the amazing DSP 6″ x 6″ pack of masculine DSP entitled Wood Texture.

Here I’ve created a mini album, (tutorial thanks to My Sister Scrapper).  This album is for #2 son,  Tony.  It’s so earthy just like him.  He loves to be outdoors and in touch with nature.    I’ve teamed the DSP here with the stamp set from S.U. named Sheltering Tree.  Some of the images are quite haunting.  I love it. Enjoy my little video.

Until next time, stay happy.

Cheers,

Jacqui xo
